SPACEGIRL
Moscow / NYC
Dubbed the "Queen of Acid Trance", Space Girl exploded onto the International dance music scene in 1998 with sold out performances worldwide. She has been profiled and photographed in some of the largest domestic and international publications including Details Magazine, Paper Magazine and electronic music culture magazine Mixer.

Space Girl aka Yana Demian was born in Moscow, Russia and immigrated to New York City in 1991. Attending and graduating from the prestigious Julliard School with a major in classical piano, Space Girl soon found classical performances lacking in flare and originality, craving a spotlight of her own. Upon attending her first dance music event where Union Jack performed live, she received the inspiration necessary to create the sound she was looking for.

Delivering an energy-filled live Techno / Trance set that takes the listener on a musical journey through her mind's eye, Space Girl consistently delivers satisfaction to both promoters and club-goers alike and enjoys the energy she receives from the crowd's response to her music. As one of the few live electronic female performers in the world, Space Girl has entertained crowds of over 20,000 people and continues to do so on a high profile production schedule. She has performed alongside some of the most recognized artists in electronic music: Sandra Collins, Union Jack, Carl Cox, Micro, Uberzone, and many more.

Space Girl released her first 12" on EDM Records in 1997 and another double-sided 12" in June 1999 on Blue Elephant Records. 1999 marked the release of her first full-length album "Space Girl - Mission 0001" released on Hard Beat Records, followed by a second full-length release entitled, "Unknown Planet."

Scheduled for release this April 2003, on New York label, Topaz Records, "Alone," will be Space Girl's third album showcasing her out of this world talent.
